Join the Thematic Group on the European Green Deal

The ENRD is launching a new Thematic Group as an open, multi-stakeholder platform to exchange on the European Green Deal (EGD) in rural areas and how they can contribute to achieving EGD objectives.

The TG will build on practical lessons from the current Rural Development Programmes, as well as on past TG work on rural climate action and bioeconomy, and will collect and provide useful indications and ideas for the programming of green interventions under the future CAP Strategic Plans.

The TG’s main focus will be on EGD elements (e.g. Farm to Fork, the Biodiversity Strategy) linked to the delivery of the three climate and environment specific objectives of the CAP post-2020: climate action, environmental care and preserving landscapes and biodiversity.

The TG aims to engage a wide range of stakeholders, either directly involved in the CAP Strategic Planning or interested in the topic.  

Would you like to become a member of the Thematic Group? Please express your interest here by 28 August 2020 at the latest, indicating which particular EGD topics relevant for rural areas you wish to work on.
