  • Étude sur les retombées socio-économiques des renouvelables

    Objective :
The purpose of the study is to compare some socio-economic impacts of two different electricity scenarios. With the existing portfolio of 2012, the first scenario foresees further deployment of renewable electricity capacity up to 2020. The second scenario assumes no increase of the renewable production capacity. The following socio-economic impacts will be compared:
    - Contribution to Belgium’s trade balance (impact of trading renewable energy products and services, impact on fuel imports)
    - Impact on national GDP, employment, and tax revenues Other impacts of a renewable energy transition (CO2 emissions, electricity prices) are addressed on a more qualitative basis.
